A rotating mirror beacon is a beacon that has a cluster of static LEDβs inside, with a slanted mirror angled over the LEDβs. This spins around the LED cluster constantly, giving a brilliant beam of light. β‘
By using LEDβs the unit has a long-life span which is ideal for use in hard to reach areas, and has a low power consumption, helping towards energy efficiency.
With the use of modern technology, we can also programme a simulated rotating beacon, removing the need of a spinning mirror in the housing. This works by programming LED sticks in a sequence to create the effect of a moving light, however the light is not as bright as when using a spinning mirror in the enclosure.
